When the rain sets in, a dry cabin with plenty to do matters as much as the attractions list. Barrel Top Lodge has a private indoor heated pool, plus a theater and arcade, about an 8-min drive from downtown Gatlinburg.

A rainy Smokies day can turn a Parkway errand into wet shoes, slow traffic, and restless kids. When the forecast looks steady, keep the main activity at the cabin. You still have a full day without racing between indoor attractions in town.
Barrel Top Lodge has a private indoor heated pool on site, plus a theater, arcade games, a hot tub, and an outdoor kitchen when you want air. It sleeps 8 (3 bedrooms, 3 baths). No pets. The pool is the center of the wet-day plan; the rest of the cabin gives easy handoffs when someone wants a movie or a game break.
Downtown Gatlinburg and the park are about an 8-min drive, so a meal or a short look around is still easy. Keep it short if showers return, then head back. The cabin stays home base either way.
If you need dogs allowed and can skip the indoor pool, Summit Sanctuary has a sauna, arcade, and theater. Cowboy Way is a dog-friendly log cabin with a theater. Rocky Top Retreat sits near Dollywood in Pigeon Forge and is not the indoor-pool pick for this plan.
